The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
That's a good question. Why should our internal DNS have an MX record for Exchange? I'm not sure I'd get a good answer.
IBM support concurs that mail relay shouldn't use the MX record. They asked about a PTF, which I had. They now want a trace.
Thanks

It really shouldn't be doing anything for a mail router. As I said before, there shouldn't be MX records, in most cases, for a mail router host name, especially an internal exchange server, so it's really a moot point.
If there are MX records set up for your mail router's host name, I would ask why that's the case.
