Not since about CPF 3.0 - Even though IBM warns against using Q prefaced
libraries, QGPL is safe. Plus, you backed up.

Hello all,

I have a question for the group. We are upgrading our OS to 7.3 from
7.1. We have a test box and a production box. The test box has the 7.3
version right now, and the live one will be getting it soon. I was
recalling that a potential problem was putting any custom objects in the
QGPL library, because those would get overwritten with the "new QGPL" when
the upgrade occurred. I went and looked at our test machine and it appears
that this is not the case anymore? Our custom objects were still there.
Our hosting company's theory is that QGPL only gets overwritten when going
to a new VERSION, not a new RELEASE. Looking to see if the group concurs
with this. Thanks!
