Normally I would agree and have often suggested the published list - but
that doc shows it has not been updated since early June 2018.
While I also agree HP printers don't last like they used to, this is an
"Enterprise" series printer.
The important part is that in its specs it supports both PCL 5 and 6, and
has no indication of a proprietary driver.
Also the supported OS's include Linux and Unix (indicating not a Win
Only..).
I checked the HP specs for M603 which is in the IBM doc - and found an older
but similar OS list.
I have many times used HP and Lexmark printers that were "near" the model
numbers in the IBM docs, and then compared the mfg specs to a supported
printer.
Note that it is very important to really compare specs, and have found that
a newer model in a series can have a difference not worth trying..

Justin,

In my experience, if it's not on the list it's either not going to work
properly or you'll spend a lot of time trying to do workarounds with a
*WSCST object.

Has anyone used this printer on IBMi? I check the docs and it's not
listed. There is a 603dn, which is a similar model.
