And one more tidbit - there are apparently some NetServer APIs - names that start with QZLS*, it seems. They're generally called IBM i Support for Windows Network Neighborhood Server APIs.

I don't think individual failures are logged there - only total - in the ZLSL0400 format of the QZLSOLST API.

I know - TMI - and I don't think these have what you want, either

And in addition to my last post, those comments might apply to password levels 0 and 2 - there are NetServer implications with levels 1 and 3.

Good question.  The user profile shows the number of invalid sign-on attempts since the last sign-on, but I assume a successful connection via any interface will reset that.  My best guess is that you'd have to check your audit journal.

I've never needed this number.  Windows spams connection requests, so a single failed attempt by a user hits the 3 attempt limit and disables the user for NetServer.

Subject: Netserver invalid sign-on attempts

Where can I see the number of invalid sign-on attempts for a user against the Netserver?
