I just read about a procedure to do this last week. I’ve never tried it personally and as stated in the article not supported by IBM

Subject: Shrink a loadsource

Hi,

Is there any way ( without full system reload ) to reduce the size of a loadsource LUN? Currently having 143Gb LUN's and would like to go for 81Gb LUN's to gain more "arms".

Best regards
