I have a need to use JVAGATE on V7.2. The last time I used it was on V5.4.

Can I use the version from V5.4 or is there a later version to use or other
software?

Best choice is always the recent version. There are enhancements and bugfixes from time to time and reproducing error situations is easier to me.
