Also check the data retention settings.
You want your summary data collection to be longer than 60 days; I recommend 2 years.
I recommend 30 to 60 days for the historical detail retention.

If you can’t set these values larger than 1 month for summary data and 7 days for detail data, that’s an indication that the PM agent is not activated to collect data.

If you haven’t reviewed the charts you can see with Historical Data, check them out. They are in Navigator for i, Graph History within the Performance section. Start with the summary charts.

Also, if you use the Configure Collection Services GUI in Navigator to try to configure historical data retention, it doesn’t always work right - even if PM agent is running, the wrong radio button is clicked and attempting to change it doesn’t work. It’s in my list of PMRs to open….

Yes.
It is off by default.

Also, to get the full enablement of historical data, the PM Agent must be running. You do not have to be sending your data to IBM, but you must be collecting it.
