Did I miss where you all suggested a viable encoding that works with your vendor? UTF16? 7bit ASCII? EBCDIC? Just wondering as I wrote our spooled file downloader using jt400 and a modified version of the SCS Reader project to accommodate our vendor who failed to live up to the sales pitch "we can take anything as you have it today and print it..."

I'll still vote it but they may kill it because it doesn't have any specifics about what you need.

Subject: RFE created ID:132221 ACS Printer Output add an option to specify a different encoding when downloading as text (.txt).
Importance: Low

A colleague of mine has submitted an RFE after discovering that ACS is not able to download print output to any encoding other than UTF-8. We have requirements when sending output to external vendors for different encoding schemes. Please consider voting for this RFE if you deem it useful in your shop.

Thanks
Dana
