Got a little notification from IBM. Down in the bowels of it I saw stuff like
<snip>
...
CIMOM server is required by ESA for collecting inventory and it is a re-requisite product for ESA to work properly:
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_71/rzaji/pre_check.htm
...
ESA invokes CIM API to implement the part of Inventory collection. For the connection between ESA and CIM server, a certificate with validity period is needed. ESA will be CIM client.
...
To check the current validity period of the self -signed certificate:
From the IBM i command line:
STRQSH
press <ENTER>
Copy/paste or type the following:
openssl x509 -in /QOpenSys/QIBM/UserData/UME/Pegasus/ssl/keystore/servercert.pem -noout -text
and press <ENTER>
...
</snip>
So I tried it:
Validity
Not Before: Nov 21 18:57:07 2008 GMT
Not After : Nov 21 18:57:07 2009 GMT
I'm guessing I probably need to update it...
