ok. I got it!

for the super dense, like me:
cd to the Linux_Application folder. then:

sudo ./install_acs_64

( I do hesitate to say that when I click on the desktop IBM i Access
Client solutions icon, nothing happens. Hopefully a reboot will solve that
problem. )
