And I recall from when I was a SE in St. Louis and we under configured a
S/38 in the very early 80s by 1/2 MB of memory. That 1/2 MB was $16,000. It
was a privately held company and I still remember the meeting with the
owner quite vividly...

Hello everybody,

I'm wondering if there is service available, showing the original
prices of AS/400- and iseries-machines with various equipment and
accessoires? I'm just interested to get a picture of the worth of these
systems in the past.

I found an ad from 2016 from a company renting out a small equipped
9406-270 for USD 85/month. This seems a stiff price for the age of the
machine.

Let me know, if you can share infos on that; thank you.
Regards,
Michael
