Ok, now I am trying my insert and I am getting SQLCODE -7008 and SQLSTATE 55019 (as shown in the RDi debugger).
DSPFD shows
Current or last journal . . . . . . . . . . : QSQJRN
Library . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : HISTORYLIB
Journal images . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : IMAGES *BOTH
Journal entries to be omitted . . . . . . . : OMTJRNE *OPNCLO
Last journal start date/time . . . . . . . : 02/24/19 12:31:59
I'm using WITH NC as in
insert into historylib.history_table (
select
qualified_job_name,
job_end_timestamp,
jl.* from table(qsys2.joblog_info(qualified_job_name)) jl)
with nc;
Yet I'm still getting the SQLCODE -7008 and SQLSTATE 55019!
Based on the qualified job name, and with DSPJOBLOG showing that job has no joblog, I'm suspecting that DB2 is "assuming" the error is that the table is not journaled.
