So you are looking for a socket client? Who is writing or has written the
outside server? Are you being expected to write the outside socket server?

As I read your request, you are looking for a socket client to talk to an
outside of the IBM i socket server.

If you just need a simple socket client, you can go to
www.think400.dk/downloads.htm under my name you will find "Simple Socket
Client Program" which is a service program that wrappers a socket client.
Maybe this is what you are looking for?
