Rob,
I'm running 3.1.0.10 on a client's secondary machine: So far no problems
but I do have a PMR open due to a weird message that's posted at every VIOS
boot. It's running IBM i 7.3 latest TR.
Complete config is Dual VIOS + v9000 thru SAN using NPIV.

Best Regards,

Anyone running VIOS 3.1 on P8 and/or P9?
We're using VIOS to host tape and Ethernet.
Did you upgrade, or reinstall?

https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/aixpert/entry/Upgrading_to_VIOS_3_1?lang=en

We have an AIX lpar. Disk for the AIX lpar is hosted by IBM i. Ethernet
and FC is hosted by VIOS. Is there a minimum level of AIX needed before
upgrading to VIOS 3.1? I think so, but I may be reading it wrong as it may
be saying something like if you're using NIM to upgrade VIOS and AIX is
hosting NIM then it has to be at such and such level of AIX.
