Hi, Dave,
Glad you figured it out ...

Last time I figured that stuff out, it was "in the last century"... and I have slept too many times since then!
I think you do have to code something like "RETURN 3" for F3=Exit though, to control this behavior, yes?

All the best,
Mark S. Waterbury

I have a UIM List Panel with ACTOR=UIM and I notice that when an
entry is selected and F3 is pressed on the resulting command prompt,
then
the UIM acts as if F3 were pressed on the list panel itself and exits
the
application altogether.  On the other hand, if F12 is pressed on the
resulting command prompt, then control returns to the UIM list panel
without exiting the application altogether.

I know this is pretty much standard behavior for UIM panels,
but...  Is there an attribute setting to get F3 treated the same way as
F12 is treated?  I checked the LISTACT, LIST, and PANEL tags but didn't
see what I was looking for.  Anybody encountered and solved this issue?
Thanks.

After much reading, I found my answer.  The answer is that you
have to use the longer form for the call to the QUIDSPP API in order to
override one of the defaults.

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
