OK, found the answer to the ENTER key issue. I didn't have the
ENTER keyword specified on the PANEL tag. Still hunting for answers on
three outstanding issues:

1. How to link back and forth between two work-with panels without
running into trouble with the call stack (described more fully below).
2. How to tell the UIM not to space out my list columns across the
available screen width. Basically, I need something like a COMPACT

option

for the list's columns.
3. How to define all the exit programs for my UIM dialog? I found the
QUISETLA API but this seems to only be for one exit program. How to
connect the rest of the exit programs to my UIM dialog?

I resolved the first one by changing ACTOR=UIM to ACTOR=CALLER and
handling it all myself within the RPG driver program. I also found my
answers to #3. I still haven't found anything for #2.
