Always good to confirm with multiple sources before upgrading.
One source is IBM's Fix Level Recommendation Tool or FLRT. It is at

However, you cannot trust that. Multiple times I've called them out. See

It's best if you also read the "read me" of each thing. For example the
readme for the latest VIOS says I have to upgrade AIX while the FLRT
doesn't (yet).

It's a habit I picked up while reloading ammo. The first manual I bought
said to buy another and verify his loadings against someone else's. Always
the possibility of an error or a typo.
A fellow reloader learned to use two scales; one electronic, one a balance
scale. No injuries but the loss of a fine gun...
