Normal behavior.
One could do a
create table retaincrud as (select ... from object_statistics...) with
data
prior to the save. Then future queries could join to this if the last
used dates are null (or whatever) in the current query of
object_statistics.
select ...,
ifnull(object_statistics.last_used_timestamp,
retaincrud.last_used_timestamp),
...
