What about DSPLOGBRM

If the joblog is still pending and has not been forced into a spool file
it becomes quite easy to query for *Diagnostic* messages. That's your
clue.

Let me repeat the clue:
<snip>
A diagnostic message is sent if one of following situations happen:
An object could not be restored
The reasons why the system cannot restore an object successfully are as
follows:
The object exists on the system and is being used. Restoring an object
requires an exclusive lock for most object types.
The object is being saved or restored by another job.
The object on the media is damaged.
The user does not have the necessary authority to restore the object.
The object does not have a valid signature.
The object type is not supported in an independent auxiliary storage pool
(ASP).
The user profile does not exist on the system.
The system found a validation error.
The deferred files cannot be restored.
</snip>

Subject: BRMS test recovery - missied and deferred objects
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

BRMS test recovery complete.
Reviewing 10,000 page SCPF and joblogs for missed and deferred objects.

IBM posts the same message, CPF3773, for a restored library whether it
was 100% restored or partially restored.
This is confusing.

137 objects restored. 0 not restored to MPGLIB.
41 objects restored. 2 not restored to OBJLIB.

Is there a better message to look at for missed objects and deferred
objects.

Possibly CPF3756 for objects not restored.
Possibly CPI3210 for a LF that was deferred, due to x-lib LF, now
restored.

This becomes a bit more confusing in that "some" of the missed objects
were marked as "deferred" objects and then later restored.

P9 ships tomorrow, arriving next week.

Thank You
