We had an IBM CE in for, I think, a disk replacement on a 520, which can be
done concurrently. He plugged his unit (ASM?) into the back of the tower.
Anyway, when he had finished and the disk was balancing, he went to unplug
his unit - which was next to the power cord. Unfortunately, he
accidentally, I'm sure, pulled the power cord. Not a pretty sight.

Absolutely! You never know when the electrician will have an "oops moment".

Power7???

Yes this should work but there were some flaky units on Power7 8202-E4Bs and
E4Cs at one point that did not come back up when connected to the new
source. This is identified by the green light not going steady.

I have moved Powe5, 6, 7, 8 all in this manner. Never had to move a
Power9 yet but suspect it will work without issue.

day. :-) :-)
