The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
As it turns out, yes, you can emit a GZIP file from an RPG program (or
anything else that can call the ZLIB service program). BTW, there's an
ILE RPG translation of the ZLIB header file available at:
https://github.com/ekg/xbzipLib/blob/master/zlib/as400/zlib.inc
Actually USING the GZIP routines in ZLIB turned out to be a lot easier
than finding an RPG translation of the ZLIB header file.
