Last year, i tried to use STRWCH to monitor all messages to a specific message queue. That didn't work because the OS was spawning a job everytime the message ID matched, and only then checking the message queue. Since every message matches *ALL, that was every message sent in the system. IBM support said "operating as designed". I submitted an RFE, which is still pending.

I discovered this month, that using a wild card in the message ID seems to do the same thing. I sent this to IBM support, but they haven't returned a ruling yet.
