Why IBM takes something that works and tries to move everything to the
silly cloud.

But it doesn't work completely any longer and IBM found out that effort to make it work completely on newest levels of Windows was SIGnificant. The new Navigator for i is a Web interface so it works on a MAC or Linux or Tablet etc. The old interface never worked there.

So this becomes a single maintenance and development effort supporting multiple operating environments rather than just one specific environment.

The local piece, ACS, also runs on multiple environments and it isn't actually installed just drop and run.

So it actually makes sense for everyone.

First Question. Where do you get the download to install "I Navigator". Is
that on the AS400 somewhere or can we get this off the web from IBM.

If you have 5770-XE1 product installed on IBM i then the install for the old no longer updated or supported product is located in:

/qibm/proddata/Access/Windows
