Hi everyone,

I have a question about how to print Superscript / Subscript through RPGLE and external printer file.

The spool file generated, gets converted to pdf using Gumbo software's SPLAMATIC/SPLCONVERT

We are on POWER8 with V7R3MO and it is external printer file.

Printer device type . . . . . . . . . : *AFPDS

The printer field type is character length 15.

For example, I want to print "1st" as "1st"

I have coded in RPGLE as code @Symbo = '1' x'09 'st' x'03

This prints "1 st ", with special characters in place of hex x'09 & x'03 but not as 1st.

There is no much help or guidance available on this subject.

If spool file is printed, it prints special characters as "ë:)" and as "è".

I need this to print electrical symbols in hundreds of documents generated from iSeries.

Examples :
ICBO , eJA , eJC , IT(RMS) , IT(AV)
Please let me know, if there is a solution for this. Or an example for doing similar.
Thanks in advance
