If I only need to beat a John Deere that's not so hard. Beating a Hellcat is much more difficult. Beating an F1 car takes real money. Do you really need to beat the F1 car?

As you correctly say it is exactly an insurance policy and as with insurance there are levels. Purchase only the level/amount that covers the risks you are unwilling to cover on your own.
