× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Presuming you also have bash installed, which you would if you used the
installation script in ACS for the open source stuff, start bash, then use
either vim, or nano commands followed by the file name you want to edit.
After starting an SSH session:

$
$ bash
bash-4.4$ cd /home/jim
bash-4.4$ nano .bashrc
bash-4.4$
bash-4.4$ vim .bashrc

Invokes either editor. You pick, matters not to me.

When you're a total noob with unix and QSH, and you install Vim (or Nano),
how do you run it?

Jim,

What do you mean by "now"? I've been using vim on IBM i for about 5
years. (and on other platforms for far longer) this isn't a new thing...?
