Hi,
I am still having issues with Infoprint Server sending email to a distant
email server. When we had a Microfocus OES software running a local mail
server, we had no problems. IBM thinks it has to do with the timing
involved in sending to a remote mail server. So, I was wondering if it was
possible for the SMTP server on the ISeries to handle the job of talking to
the remote mail server. Specifying an ISeries SMTP internal address on the
PSF configuration so Infoprint Server is no longer involved in responses
from a distant server.
Using the SMTP server as a relay server I guess. Perhaps hoping that it
talks better to a remote server.
It's ok to tell me I'm clueless about the workings of the SMTP server, and
it does not work that way.
Thanks
