We decided there are 2 places to change the system name. The HMC (or ASM ) and CHGNETA. the latter was the source for what displays. The change on the HMC, not so sure.

Have you checked the source for the sign-on screen (usually QGPL/QDDSRDC,QDSIGNON)? Maybe someone hard-coded it there?

Subject: System Name

Good Day All,

Might anyone know how to get the official system name to appear in the SYSTEM output field on ACS emulation sign-on screens.

I changed the official system name ( via ASM ) from the long combination of various fields to something not so technical. But on the sign-on screen it still shows the S####### serial number ID. Which is neither the old system name or the new one.

Thanks
