Thanks Paul,

DSPNETA shows the one that displays in ACS ( S###### ), with none pending. The original system name via ASM was a combination of model and serial number just as IBM said it would be. It was there that IBM instructions said I could change it, and I did. Even did an IPL and checked it. So, at some level I changed A system name. Maybe the name in ASM is a lower level system name and DSPNETA show a network ID .

Where do I change the one that shows DSPNETA?

Buddy--

Have you IPLd your system? If you DSPNETA you can see the current system name and the pending system name. Last I knew the Pending becomes Current after an IPL.

Subject: System Name

Good Day All,

Might anyone know how to get the official system name to appear in the SYSTEM output field on ACS emulation sign-on screens.

I changed the official system name ( via ASM ) from the long combination of various fields to something not so technical. But on the sign-on screen it still shows the S####### serial number ID. Which is neither the old system name or the new one.

Thanks
