I'm working with IBM to get DB2 Web Query to run. IBM is telling me
that some 'suspect' .jar files in the /qibm/userdata/java400/ext directory
could be a problem. I am to identify the applications using these files
and move them to the proper applications directory.

I know zero about java. I have no idea where to begin or how to
determine if they are even used at all.

(A bazillion years ago I experimented with something "poi" that was, I
think, a way to create spreadsheets with RPG? I experimented only, never
used it.)
