We've used a paid service for decades to provide us with updated ZIP code data tied to sales tax. There are so many local jurisdictions with the authority to add additional sales tax to the state sales tax (and almost any with the authority do) that there are monthly if not weekly updates!

I believe the company is VeraZip.
