I would use %Scan in RPG free to do this. This would return the position
you are looking for. For example, look for the ‘.’ and look at the
position and then scan left for the ‘/’ plus one would be the start of the
file name. The position where you found the ‘.’ Plus 3 would your full
extension

to estract the "myfile.xls" string (the file's name ), how can i do it (in
