Update from IBM support.

Logging text needed to be set to *SECLLVL.
I was set at *MSG.

In a scheduled job, the commands are logged a bit differently since the scheduler uses the QCMDEXEC API to run the command.
The commands on the command list are always logged in the scheduled job joblog, they're in the secondary text for the IJS6010.
If you change the logging level to 4 00 *SECLVL instead of 4 00 *MSG, the command will be included in the joblog.

IBM support recreated this issue.

Initially, appears to be a defect.

The initial AJS sequence (cmd, pgrm, etc) is never logged in the joblog.
Any additional threads called from this sequence are logged.

Waiting for response from AJS development.

Hi Paul

What are the settings on the various Job Descriptions the jobs are
submitted under - are they different ?

I was viewing/check some jobs submitted via AJS, Advanced Job Scheduler.

I noticed that some jobs are not actually showing the program and/or
command that is called.
Other jobs do.
What else could cause the jobs to log differently?

Job setup is the same for the jobs.

Message logging:
Level . . . . . . . . . . . *JOBCTL 0-4, *JOBD, *JOBCTL
Severity . . . . . . . . . . *JOBCTL 0-99, *JOBD, *JOBCTL

Message logging:

Level . . . . . . . . . . . *JOBD 0-4, *JOBD

Severity . . . . . . . . . . *JOBD 0-99, *JOBD

Text . . . . . . . . . . . . *JOBD *JOBD, *MSG, *SECLVL,
