The Getting Started document, or one of the others, has info on how to deploy ACS, including a network setup - I believe that the properties file can be local while the rest can be on the network drive. There should be sections on using different properties files for each user. I assume you have already RTFM, so this is just a reminder - lots of options in there.

BTW, I also do for myself what Steve does - I'll use 7-Zip to open the ZIP file, then put everything __except__ the properties file into the directory I use.

Cheers
Vern

Steve,

I thought of that, but could be dangerous.
Also, you would replace the AcsConfig_save.properties file.

I'm thinking of setting up two folder locations, NEW and CUR.
All users would run from CUR.
NEW would be for a small group of users to test the new versions.

Any thoughts from the group.

I just unzip and overwrite the entire folder. Been working for me since beta versions.

Subject: Update procedure for updating ACS to run new version when running from IFS

I just downloaded the new version of ACS, build 8250 June 18, 2018.
My current setup is running ACS from the IFS.
Z:\QIBM\UserData\Access\ACS\acsbundle.jar.

I simply replaced the acsbundle.jar file with new acsbundle.jar file.
Relaunched ACS.
Checked the version, help, about.
Running build 8250 June 18, 2018

Is this a valid and correct update procedure?

Thank You
