Jon's response reminds me of a case tool we used to use.
One of their generation types was a Report and another one was a Batch. I
tried to use the Report but once I crossed a certain line with a technique
I would have to start over from scratch and recreate it as a Batch. After
a few occurrences I stopped using Report and did those as Batches from the
start.
With cycle you don't run into a hard halt but some might consider that a
bad thing and would rather you'd rewrite.
Then again, it may have been one of our things that Jon graciously offered
to help me with which caused him grief because it took him awhile to
recognize that it was even a cycle program.
