I think there are settings in maybe the OUTQ setup or the PRTF or the
writer for using separator pages - 1 of them might let you specify a
program to produce the page - a google of some sort should get you more
information.

This is all good, Glenn, but is there a CL command that will do this? My
RPG is read-only :)

Hi Jack,

Try these two keywords in the DDS for the special-banner-program at the
file level:
SKIPB(1)
SKIPA(1)

That's the idea. I just don't even know how to make sure when I print
something it prints a whole page.

Hi Jack,

I had written a program a long time ago that would print a banner page

with

job info, etc. on it. What you need is similar in function with

different

text.
I don't have the program anymore but going from memory it would be
something like this:
- ovrprtf qsysprt share(*yes)
- call special-banner-program that prints the page you want, don't

close

the printer file
- call your existing program that will add to the already open printer

file

In the midst of a CL which is calling RPG programs that do printing,

I

want

to print 1 page to QSYSPRT and make sure it feeds the page. What's

the

easiest way to print a mostly-blank page with a short message like
"SEPARATE HERE!!!" and feed the page?
