RE: RDI Substitute

I'd like to thank all for their responses to my query on RDI.

First, it turns out that the person giving me the quote didn't have the
information entered correctly on the quote as he had noted 1 year on the
document, but in talking with him late last Friday he said it was a 3 year
quote and he would be updating the quote. Thanks to some of the info I
received here on what others are paying I was also able to press him on
the pricing on that 3 year quote. :)

Secondly, based on the feedback received it does seem that RDI is the best
overall tool at this time, and though there are some options that may
encompass some of the same processes, there is no tool that does it all
like RDI.

Just curious as to what people are using for eclipse/non eclipse based
IDEs if not using RDI for their RPG/CL source.



I just got my renewal quote for maintenance for RDI and I refuse to pay
what they are now asking for. I've pushed back on the quote but decided
to see what others are using. We love the tool and how it easily
interfaces into the system, but when the cost more than triples.need to
look at doing something different.
