Remember you have to be in the folder to use 'mput'. It will not move the
folder and all of its contents, it will move all the files that it sees, but
no folders.

Use Filezilla or WinSCP (both free) on the desktop to grab a folder and move
it.

Subject: IBM i FTP put entire folder/subfolder

All,

Brain f--- day.

From the IBM i, I'm wanting to FTP an entire folder (not the old
QDLS) to my
desktop PC, which has FTP server running. I can't come up with the
correct
PUT statement and my googling skills are betraying me.

Isn't it just:

put /folder/subfolder/*

/folder/subfolder is off the root of IFS, and contains dozens of
subsubfolders, some empty and some not.

Thanks.
