Richard is correct, but the base package that includes the portions you are
referring to can only be downloaded from the Entitled Software Support
(ESS) site. Use the ACS web site to guide you through finding it in the
IBM i downloads, it is a bit convoluted, but easy once you realize where
the software is packaged. The ACS web site has step by step instructions
on how to find the code.

I don't believe the database drivers have gone away. Just a separate

subject: IBM DA400 replacement???

Good morning,

We have a home grown VB application that is heavily used. It somehow ties
to
a CAD program but also interacts with the data on our IBM I (data flows
in
both directions). Historically the data on the Power system is accessed via
IBM DA400. Historically, DA400 was provided through the old Client Access
product. Now that the end of support has been announced for Client Access
has been announced, we want to start moving toward ACS. In reviewing what
I
have been able to find so far in ACS documentation, I don't see DA400
mentioned, so I am guessing that it will no longer be available (hopefully
I
am wrong on that). I have no interaction with the application and have not
seen the code, so I don't have a lot to work with from that perspective,
but does anyone have any suggestions on what we might be able to do as a
replacement for IBM DA400?

Regards,

Jim Hawkins
