It has been a while since I set it up on any of mine, but I'm pretty sure I just selected SSL in the connection manager, and when it connected it asked my about the certificate, and everything just worked from there? What problem are you having when set it to SSL?

Yes I meant SSL.

The ACS instructions I am finding tell me to execute cwbcossl.exe. When I
look for that executable on my PC I find it in an old Client Access folder. I
execute cwbcossl.exe and all appears to work. But no connection happens.

I believe I am finding an old/stale set of directions for Client
Access? Everything completes normally and the ACS tells me there
server is not trusted.
