Yeah, these are not supposed to be changed in a way that makes problems.

But I see from the change history that everything after the OBFUSCATION option flag is different in 7.2 on up from the change made at 7.1.

The 7.1 stuff included RCAC and mask and other stuff - not there at all from 7.2 on up - is it a big OOPS, as Mark suggests?

Good luck, man!

David,

AFAIK, that is never supposed to happen ...

I would open a PMR and ask IBM to "fix" this ASAP.

Folks:

How often have you run into changes to the data structures in QSYSINC/QRPGLESRC, that causes existing code to fail to compile, and what is the best way to rectify the situation?

I just ran into a situation where one of the structures for the QSQGNDDL api changed and a program no longer compiles due to missing fields.

It last compiled on 7.1 without a problem.

Luckily, for this particular API, there is an official UDF that provides the desired functionality ... but I'm kind of concerned that this might happen with other API's that there isn't an alternative for.

Thanks!
