Bryan:

you seem to be really good with your SQL.

I have the following SQL

select
table_schema,
table_name,
index_name
from qsys2.sysindexes
order by
table_schema,
table_name,
index_name;

What I need is a list of the indexes by size. Largest to smallest.

How would I do that?

Or if anyone else wants to jump in that would be great.

Sorry about being a newbe on the SQL thing per pulling schema, table, and
index information.

(Channeling Rob) and if you are on a current release there is some SQL you
can use:

SELECT Aj.Subsystem
,Aj.Job_Name
,Aj.Authorization_Name AS "Current User"
,Ns.Remote_Address
,Aj.Cpu_Time AS "MilliSeconds Used"
FROM TABLE(Qsys2.Active_Job_Info('NO', '', 'QZDASOINIT', '')) AS Aj
,Qsys2.Netstat_Job_Info AS Ns
WHERE (Aj.Authorization_Name LIKE '%'
and NS.REMOTE_ADDRESS like '%')
AND Aj.Job_Name = Ns.Job_Name
ORDER BY Aj.Authorization_Name;

is there a way of telling who is connecting to the iseries db using
things like access, excel, etc?

i want to be able to control these functions. I believe all our users
have odbc set up as part of client access install.
