We also just put out a Braintree webhook open source project that right now
processes distributions, but other features could be easily added:

We would easily add functionality for others as requests come along. Since
most of these applications we already have a base for the OAuth 2.0
authentication and renewing that is required by most, after that it's
mainly just interfacing with their APIs and getting you the JSON data to
parse.

The reason Braintree was open source and node.js is because they only allow
use of their SDKs for interaction vs straight webservice calls. I am
most comfortable with JS which is why I chose to use it for my customer's
projects instead of the other offerings.
