Keep in mind that a save is not a copy. Would you expect a 'nix system to
be able to read the files from a IBM i tape save? I think you'd run into
the same issue with a save to USB.
Is the USB port available in IFS? For example, can you do something like
WRKLNK '/QOPT/*' and see the USB stuff there? If it is then CPY might be
better than a SAV. For more information look up the device parameter on
SAV. And try to figure out how you would tell it USB. My guess is that
it would be IFS specific like
tape: '/qsys.lib/tap01.devd'
savf: '/qsys.lib/mylib.lib/mysavf.file'
usb: ??
