I think those SQL exit points only get called when the SQL request is from
a remote system. I've never implemented those SQL exit points, and did a
quick read on them, so I could be wrong on that.

I agree with you and Alan that STRQM could be a good quick solution, even
if it is only an interim one.

There are many great GUI SQL tools out there, and I think those should be
part of the long term solution due to enhanced productivity and improved
presentation capabilities.

Yes, iACS Run SQL Scripts is a good tool. And you've figured out what
exit points are applicable. IDK what particular exit point would be used
by STRSQL.

Actually STRQM isn't so bad. You can select either prompted, or not. And
it comes with the ability to restrict users to SELECT only.
F19=Change query creation mode
Query creation mode . . . . : SQL/PROMPT
Prompt is for those more used to Query/400

Keep in mind, in the auditors mind it's not necessary to be effective to
be compliant. You've stopped them from STRSQL. Do they care if there's
still a million other tools they can use?
