My *Password Prompting* is set to "Use default user name to prompt once for
each system".
I seem to recall a pop-up in the Client Access product that I turned off.
Thus perhaps ACS has that feature turned off too if it inherited the old
setting. Maybe there isn't a user interface screen to change the setting
but it is in the config file you can manually modify. I don't know.

Glenn,

We are on 7.1 and my ACS version is the same as yours, 1.1.7.3. I do
receive the green screen message after I answer the pop-up message. If you
never get the pop up message, I wonder where that is controlled. Anyone
have any ideas? Maybe it is because I have it set to prompt for my user ID
and password every time. I have multiple profiles, so I want it to prompt
every time.

Hi Dean,

What version of IBM i OS are you on and what version of ACS?
We're on 7.3 and 1.1.7.3 respectively and I don't see a pop-up with Y or
N
here.
Maybe you can disable the pop-up altogether since the green screen
handles
this already.

I see a green screen that says:

Days until password expires . . . : x

Press Enter to continue.

F3=Exit sign-on request F9=Change password

One of the things that has bugged me for a while about the new 5250
emulator in ACS is how it handles the popup message when your password
is
about to expire. It doesn't allow you to use the keyboard to answer the
message. You have to use the mouse. The Windows version of the
emulator
allowed the Y or N key to be used to select Yes or No to answer the
message. I would like the new emulator to work the same way. Our
passwords expire every 90 days, so I don't encounter real often.
Anyway, I
submitted an RFE to fix this. Please vote if you think it would be
helpful. https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?
