As long as I remember:

9406-550 had 2 sockets with DCM (dual core modules), so your system has physically 2 or 4 Cores/CPUs (means the same on IBM terminology).

Now, each CPU is activated using CoD codes. You can check the amount of active CPUs using ASMI or an old HMC.
