You said the SRC code was 0000-0000. That's NOT the "Batch Restricted" code.
If you -are- using Batch Restricted it's important to give it a
maximum time limit! We've been using it for our system backups for
several months now. It's a little scary telling the machine to go
off and have fun-- like a parent giving the car keys to a new driver
for a solo flight. So it's important to give it a maximum time!
When the time expires, the system interrupts whatever it was doing
and re-IPLs, following whatever procedure your normal IPL follows.
But that time limit gives you hope that if it gets stuck, whether
because it can't find media for a backup, or whatever, it will return
control to you. Sort of like the control voice on The Outer Limits!
