Because I don't concatenate often enough, it's somewhat confusing to see ('Beginnining of a string' || &fredfile |> 'is missing something')-- all those '|<>&! I also feel it's kinder to others reading my code if I 'spell out' *TCAT, *BCAT, *CAT, so I use the long forms. It also helps when I'm reading my own code!

It's enough fun remembering to put that string inside parenthesis! I -hate- sorting out a string that the editor 'improved' ( ie '''Beginning of a string''|| &fredfile |> ''is missing something''').
