Unfortunately I don't have that option, if it were up to me we would have never been on this software package. Our controller (aptly named) loves it so we're stuck with the so-called support, which isn't very supportive during their 8 hr support window. The accounting folks didn't want to get the 24/7 support even though we have batch processes that use their "APIs" at night, I really can't wait until we have a batch issue with those & can't get support!

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

I would have told that vendor to <expletive deleted> and changed vendors.
That is not an idle threat from us either. We actually have.

We would be at 7.3 if we weren't being held hostage by vendor software
that doesn't support that release yet. Anyone have any benchmarks on
performance hits moving from 7.2 to 7.3 just for my edification?

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Yes, that 3% was after installing the SPECTRE/MELTDOWN fixes. Nothing
scientific, just my own anecdotal experience.

We've been on 7.3 since September.

Justin,

Do you also have the SPECTRE/MELTDOWN fixes installed?
We're also seeing an increase in CPU since upgrading to V7R3 on 2/25.

I'm still gathering the perf data numbers.
We're seeing an increase runtime on a batch job that talks to a remote
server.
Also other variables I need to factor in.
